LOS ANGELES- After rising for more than a month, gas prices have now dropped nine days in a row. AAA predicts that downward trend will continue well into the busy summer season.
AAA predicts consumers could now see average gas prices drop as low as $2 gallon nationwide this spring and summer, thanks to an abundance of crude oil on the market.
“There’s a good chance that the average household will save more than $700 on gas,” said AAA spokesman Michael Green.
The national average for gas is currently $2.42 a gallon. That’s $1.10 less than what consumers paid last year at this time.
