COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – A 64-year-old Naples woman was arrested Thursday for reportedly attacking a man with an ice pick.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Rookery Drive.

Deputies said Carol Dinwiddie got upset with a contractor cleaning the drainage swales on the street because he was reportedly blocking her driveway.

Dinwiddie complained to the contractor that he was blocking her garbage and trash crews could not pick up her trash.

The victim said Dinwiddie then went back into her home, grabbed an ice pick and came back out threatening him, saying she would “flatten his vehicle tires and then him.”

The victim said he was able to take the ice pick from Dinwiddie, and that was when she took off running.

Dinwiddie was later arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
