LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is releasing new images from the Wells Fargo bank robbery earlier this month, during which an unknown suspect made away with a heaping handful of cash.

Detectives say the unarmed male walked into the Wells Fargo, located at 12751 S. Tamiami Trail, just after 2:30 p.m. on May 6.  The man demanded cash from the teller, then quickly fled the scene in a silver Nissan Maxima, bearing Florida tags. The vehicle was last seen headed southbound on US 41.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect waiting in line, then presenting the teller with a note demanding cash.  While the teller was stacking up money from her register, the suspect said he wanted even more cash. Once he had all available cash in hand, he left the area in a silver Nissan Maxima. Nearly two weeks after the robbery, the suspect remains unidentified and at large.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org or by texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) Keyword: REWARD.
