Bicyclist killed in Fort Myers hit-and-run crash

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Fort Myers Police Department is investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash Monday morning.

Police say a man riding his bicycle hit by a car and died at the scene. The crash happened on the 900 block of Nuna Avenue.

According to FMPD, the car involved has been located but authorities are still searching for the driver.

Friends and relatives tell WINK News the man who died was in his early 20s, and likely was biking home from his job at a fast food restaurant on Palm Beach Boulevard.

“He never did anything to nobody. He enjoyed church,” said Tanshell Bailey, “he was just a man of God.”
