Naples running back commits to Tennessee

Four days before his senior season of football starts at Naples High School, Carlin Fils-Aime announced where he plans to play in college. On Thursday morning the highly recruited running back announced on Twitter that he will play for the University of Tennessee.

In a text message to WINK Sports, Naples football coach Bill Kramer said Fils-Aime made the decision after a lot of thought and prayer. “Academic, athletic and social were a perfect fit” wrote Kramer.

Fils-Aime rushed for 232 yards and 3 touchdowns on 26 carries as a junior before an ankle injury in the Golden Eagles third game sidelined him for the rest of the season.

Fils-Aime is the 11th ranked, class of 2016 running back in the country according to the recruiting site, 247 Sports. He was heavily recruited by many of the nations top programs, his decision came down to Tennessee and Auburn.

Fils-Aime and the Golden Eagles open the regular season at home on August 28 against state power American Heritage.
