DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) – A central Florida man accused of killing his grandmother has been declared competent to stand trial.

Since being declared incompetent to stand trial in August, 28-year-old Patrick Campbell has been undergoing treatment at the North Florida Evaluation and Treatment Center in Gainesville.

Matt Phillips, Campbell’s public defender, tells the Daytona Beach News-Journal (http://bit.ly/1RMRxrf ) his client is still mentally ill and is being treated with anti-psychotic drugs. He says Campbell will continue undergoing treatment.

Campbell is accused ofstabbing 64-year-old Darlene Robertson on March 17, 2015. He made bizarre statements at his first appearance, telling the judge he was a United States agent.
