FORT MYERS, Fla. – Drivers who use McGregor Boulevard will face 18 months of lane closures and uneven pavement as crews work to repave a two-mile stretch of the road between Colonial Boulevard and Poinciana Avenue starting in June or July. The repaving project is part of a $4.6 million makeover of McGregor Boulevard is is being paid for by the state. The city of Fort Myers may take advantage of the project to replace older drain pipes, officials said.
