Ooey Gooey Melted Cheese, Celebrate National Grilled Cheese Day

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Cheese lovers prepare, Tuesday April 12th is National Grilled Cheese Day and one local Southwest Florida restaurant is celebrating the day with what they do best, hot melted cheese and two slices of bread, all of course with a couple of surprises.

11:Eleven Cafe is known for their grilled cheese and unique creations that have many calling 11:Eleven the best grilled cheese in Southwest Florida. Owner, Christa Leigh, says “everyone is a chef,” when they walk into her cafe.

The menu allows you to build your grilled cheese based on the following:

Pick your base – 10 different types of bread, flatbread or even a potato or waffle.

Pick your cheese – more than 15 choices, including rare creations like sliced ghost pepper

Pick your flavor – all unique creations that pair cheese with fresh ingredients, meats and vegetables.

Favorite flavors include, “The Chicken is a Jerk,” “Tom is a Pest,” or their number one seller the “Alton Brown Ate Here,” which says it all highlighting Food Network Chef, Alton Brown and his own creation. For National Grilled Cheese Day, Leigh is pulling out all the stops.

Creating a grilled cheese called “Murica,” featuring a hamburger patty, french fires and chicken tenders all between two slices of bread with melted cheese. 11:Eleven even has a macaroni and cheese grilled cheese sandwich and of-course, all the menu items can be customized to meet your taste or just the flavor you’re feeling.
