1 suspect on the loose after Naples jewelry store heist

Published:

NAPLES, Fla. – One man escaped a jewelry store robbery as deputies deployed K9, helicopters and officers on foot to find him.

His friend, Travon Moss, was arrested after one of the men entered Tourneau, an upscale store at the Waterside Shops in Pelican Bay then stole two watches.

His arrest came after the two men led deputies on a high-speed chase down US-41 in North Naples, which only ended after they smashed their white van into a deputies car and then a tree.

Crews searched dense woods but did not find the second suspect. They recovered the two stolen watches.
