Swearing-in to mark Diggs’ official start day at FMPD

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The new top cop will officially take over the police department on Monday after he is sworn in at an afternoon city council meeting.

Derrick Diggs will have 90 days to become a certified law enforcement officer in Florida. The former Toledo chief claims to have cut crime by 30 percent when he put cameras in high-crime neighborhoods.
