Surveillance cam shows South Fort Myers McDonald’s robbery

SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — A man ran up to a McDonald’s drive-through window, pointed a handgun at the employee manning it and demanded all the money in the cash register, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said.

The man, described as young, Hispanic and about 5-foot-9, remains at large after making off with an undisclosed amount of cash Monday from the restaurant on 12290 S. Cleveland Ave., according to Crime Stoppers.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com.
