FORT MYERS, Fla. — A plan to revitalize a section of Fort Myers and create a Midtown district was directed to the Community Redevelopment Agency’s Advisory Board on Wednesday.

The plan would create additional residential areas and redevelop the area from Martin Luther King Boulevard to Edison in the neighborhoods surrounding City of Palms Park.

“The Advisory Board will most likely inventory our assets, reach out to the state and county since they also own property in the Midtown area,” said Leigh Scrabis, executive director of the Fort Myers CRA, in an email.
