ESTERO, Fla. – A huge gator attacked a trapper, biting his hand, while a second trapper wrestled the reptile to free his colleague Friday. The second trapper, who jumped to the rescue, cut himself with a knife in the process, according to Estero fire officials. The first trapper was taken to the hospital. The extent of his injury was not immediately clear. Both workers were responding to a call about the gator on a porch in the Wildcat Run neighborhood at 20300 Country Club Drive. The alligator, which was about 7-feet long, was killed.
