PUNTA GORDA, Fla. Three people were seriously injured Friday morning following a wreck that closed State Road 31 near Bermont Road for hours.
A pickup truck was traveling northbound when it was sandwiched between a tanker and a log truck, the state Highway Patrol said. The tanker, which was carrying oil, was not compromised.
Those injured were transported to Lee Memorial Hospital, including one person who was airlifted.
The crash is under investigation.
