Record heat streak continues, but relief in sight

Published: Updated:

FORT MYERS, Fla. Wednesday was another day of record-breaking heat as the temperature soared to a high of 91.

It broke the record of 90 set just two years ago. It’s the fourth straight day Fort Myers has either tied or set a record high.

Isolated storms are in the forecast for Thursday morning, Chief Meteorologist Jim Farrell said. There will be a high of 73 with scattered rain.
