SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. A South Fort Myers High School student is accused of taking video of another student urinating in a locker room toilet, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.

The video, taken May 4, was shared among other students and on social media, according to a sheriff’s office report filed the next day.

The student in the six-second video noticed a cellphone positioned over a wall divider. He smacked the phone away and told the other student to delete the video, the sheriff’s office said.

The father of the student shown in the video told sheriff’s deputies he would prefer to let the school administration handle punishment for the other student.

Principal Ed Mathews is disciplining the student who took the video in accordance with the school’s code of conduct, the school district said. The district declined to elaborate.

The incident comes less than a year after multiple members of the school’s football team allegedly had sex with a 15-year-old old girl in a school bathroom. Video from that high-profile case was also shared on social media.
