Fort Myers man arrested in connection with multiple burglaries

FORT MYERS, Fla. A 41-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in connection with recent local burglaries, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.

Gabriel Bowling, of Fort Myers, was located at around 10:54 p.m. on the 20000 block of Summerlin Road, deputies said.

Deputies found a confirmed-stolen Fiat 500 and a stockpile of items previously reported stolen including mail, bank statements, a television set, fishing equipment, multiple bicycles, power tools and beach carts.

Bowling had previously been designated as a person of interest by the West District detectives.

Bowling faces charges of burglary of an unoccupied structure, grand theft, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and grand theft of a motor vehicle.
