A man was arrested for robbing a woman at gunpoint in Lee County early this morning.
Lee County Sheriff’s Office arrested Wualter Lagos, 18, for battery and robbery with a firearm near Palm Beach Boulevard and Waverly Avenue in Tice Saturday.
According to the LCSO press release, Lagos held a female victim at gunpoint and demanded her personal belongings.
A witness reported the crime to patrolling sheriff’s deputies a little after 2 a.m. Deputies responded to the scene and found the victim unharmed.
The victim said she was approached by an unknown male, armed with a handgun and demanded she give him her belongings. The male then fled the scene in a black Mitsubishi Eclipse.
Deputies found the suspected car and Lagos in the area shortly after and arrested him.
Lagos is in jail with no posted bond on the LCSO website.
