Judge Bruce Kyle denied the motion convicted killer Jimmy Rodgers requested for a new trial after he was found guilty of trespassing and second-degree murder in the death of Dr. Sievers. Rodgers’ defense team argued the state withheld evidence during the trial. Rodgers’ attorney filed a different motion Friday, and we continue to gather details to confirm the request of the new motion. Rodgers is scheduled to be sentenced in court Monday, Nov. 18.
