Kirstie Rosa, 27. Credit: Collier County Sheriff’s Office. An assistant teacher, who is an employee at a Collier County alternative for students who would otherwise face expulsion, was brought into custody after she was accused of engaging in lewd and inappropriate behavior with students. Friday, Collier County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Kirstie Rosa, an assistant teacher at Phoenix Naples, for having sex with a teenage students and giving students drugs and alcohol. According to CCSO, the sheriff’s office monitored an interviewed conducted by investigators with Florida Department of Children and Families of a Phoenix Naples student, who said on record Rosa became friendly with him and a group of students, connecting via Snapchat. After students became connected on the social media app, the student told investigators Rosa brought them to a party, supplying them with beer and marijuana. The host of the party kicked them out after learning they were high school students. The student being interviewed told investigators Rosa took them back to her condo East Naples. He said they were all intoxicated and under the influence of marijuana. There, the student said he engaged in a sex act with Rosa. After that time, the student says Rosa would regularly supply him and his classmates with nicotine for their vaping devices, normally leaving it in the school bathroom for them to retrieve. On a different occasion, the student says he brought Rosa to his home, where his 20-year-old brother and 18-year-old fiancĂ© were present. The student told investigators he had sex with Rosa in his room. The brother also said he believed they had sex and picked Rosa out of a lineup. Rosa went to DCF to perform a drug test and be interviewed. She denied all allegations against her. She also waived her rights after the CCSO investigator provided her a Miranda warning. Her drug results tested positive for THC found in marijuana. Thursday, CCSO investigators viewed surveillance footage recording an event at Rosa’s apartment complex, where she had four male Phoenix students with her. Investigators say Rosa is observed being intimate with the student originally interviewed. Friday, CCSO performed a traffic stop on Rosa along Acacia Street at the intersection with Lely Cultural Parkway and arrested her. Rosa faces charges for three counts of Lewd and Lascivious Behavior (Sexual Activity with a 15-year-old at his home, community swimming pool and her own home), two counts of Providing Narcotics Equipment/Paraphernalia to a Minor and charges for providing alcohol and nicotine products to minors. Friday, Collier County Public School told us it will be recommending Rosa’s job termination to the school board Monday. Rosa was taken to Collier County jail and has since posted bond.
