Credit: WINK News The Charlotte County public school district has canceled in-person graduation ceremonies that were scheduled for the week of July 13. This was an incredibly hard decision but due to the continued rise in COVID-19 cases in our community and the health risk associated with large events, we believe this is in the best interest of our graduates, families and community at large,” said a statement from the district. Each high school’s virtual graduation will be available for viewing at 7 p.m. on the day their in-person ceremony was scheduled. Virtual graduation viewing schedule: July 14, 7 p.m.: Port Charlotte High, Charlotte Harbor Center July 15, 7 p.m.: Academy High School, Charlotte Virtual HS July 16, 7 p.m.: Charlotte High School July 17, 7 p.m.: Lemon Bay High School
