The School District of Lee County has set up a hotline to help answer questions regarding COVID-19 as well as report if a student has symptoms.

Parents can call the COVID-19 Incident Notification Hotline at 239-356-2800 or fill out the Incident Notification Form online if their child has symptoms and/or tests positive for the coronavirus.

SDLC says they will send a message to the school community when they are notified of a positive case. The messages will be sent to that school’s parents and employees via SchoolMessenger, the district’s automated telephone and email system.

If you have not signed up for SchoolMessenger, you can do so here.

All messages sent on behalf of a school will be recorded on the district’s website.

Also on that website is a sample letter for what would happen if someone were to test positive for the virus.

The district also notes that charter and private schools will be responsible for their own communication procedures and are not included on the webpage.
