Golden Gate man arrested on charges of child pornography, to be released to ICE

A 36-year-old Golden Gate man is being held on a federal immigration detainer in the Collier County jail after detectives found photos of child pornography on his cell phone.

Eugenio Tunpop of 49th Terrace was arrested Sep. 3 on a warrant charging him with two counts of child pornography possession. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office investigated after receiving cyber tips from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Following his arrest a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer was placed on Tunpop. He will be released to ICE custody once he has satisfied his local criminal charges.
