Tracking the potential for rain and storms ahead of next cold front

Published: Updated:

Today’s highs will be warmer than the past few days, peaking in the mid-upper 70s. Expect an increase in cloud cover, too, ahead of a cold front arriving tomorrow morning.

We’ll see the opportunity for spotty showers late tonight ahead of the front, but that doesn’t move in until closer to 11 p.m., so most of the day remains dry.

The rain continues through early Friday before we clear out quickly by the second half of the day.

Behind the cold front, a strong west wind will develop, producing rough seas and strong rip currents for our local beaches.
