Big temperature swing after the coldest air this season

Published: Updated:

Happy Thursday! As promised, we had the coldest air of winter so far this morning. Punta Gorda fell to 35° while Fort Myers and Naples both dropped to 41°.

Our warming trend continues this afternoon as highs reach the mid-upper 60s. Expect plentiful sunshine with low humidity and a light breeze!

Although you may need a light jacket, Friday morning won’t be nearly as cold as we dip into the 40s and 50s.

Highs peak near 80° this weekend, but it comes at a cost. More moisture rolls into our region as a cold front stalls nearby!

Scattered showers will be possible both Saturday and Sunday across Southwest Florida.
