A place dedicated to helping our community needs your help.

Grace Place, a non-profit dedicated to helping the Southwest Florida community has two days left to reach its fundraising goal.

Katty Saba said she felt alone, lost and stuck between four walls before she found Grace Place.

“I was feeling insecure,” Saba said. “I was feeling that I was failing my daughter.”

Four years later, Saba walks on the Grace Place campus, holding her daughter’s hand, with her head held high.

“This is where I get my inspiration to be a better person,” Saba said.

Grace Place is a nonprofit agency with a mission to lift families out of poverty through education.

While Saba learns how to sew, a few doors down her 4-year-old Isabella is learning to read and count in English and Spanish.

They pay nothing for the assistance.

Grace Place raised most of its money from its annual gala. But with COVID, this it’ll be the No-Go gala, held virtually.

“We can’t do this without you and the impact we have every day is in the beautiful faces that are here and are receiving a good education,” said Lara Fisher, CEO of Grace Place.

The goal is to raise $175,000, but they’re almost $20,000 short with two days to go.

“If you haven’t made a donation we would love for you to become part of our support team and we’re here to support everybody,” Fisher said.

Saba said the organization changes your family and by changing a family, they change the community.

Because together, Grace Place says we can build a stronger community for the next generation.
