Alert Collier: Homebound COVID-19 vaccine opportunity for those with special needs

Those registered in the Collier County Special Needs Shelter (SpNS) database will be receiving a notification through the Alert Collier system on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. This message will provide information regarding a COVID-19 vaccine opportunity for those who may be homebound due to a medical issue or disability.

The Alert Collier notification will be sent simultaneously to all the registrant’s contact paths on file, such as landline, cellular phone, and email. The message will not require a confirmation receipt.

Text messages will come from one of the following shortcode numbers 88911, 89361, or 87844; emails will appear to come from COVID19Collier@flhealth.gov; voice calls will come from (239) 252-6220, which is the Florida Department of Health (DOH) – Collier call center. The DOH call center is active during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., seven days a week.
