Hendry County Sheriff’s Office badge. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving a Hendry County sheriff’s vehicle on Thursday night. According to a news release, the traffic crash occurred at the intersection of State Road 29 and Park Avenue at around 10:15 p.m. Troopers said a Chevrolet Trailblazer was stopped for a stop sign on Park Avenue at the intersection of State Road 29. A marked Hendry County Sheriff’s Office vehicle was traveling north on State Road 29, approaching Park Avenue. The Trailblazer initiated a left turn and traveled into the path of the marked vehicle causing them to collide. The Trailblazer’s driver, a 59-year-old LaBelle man, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital. A 32-year-old Cape Coral man driving the Hendry County’s sheriff’s vehicle was transported to a local area hospital with minor injuries.
