Gloomy weather continues with Monday’s forecast

Our run of gloomy weather continues on Monday.

Expect mostly cloudy skies with highs struggling to climb into the 90s. Our wind speeds will slightly decrease throughout the day, maxing out at 15 mph.

Even with the cloud cover, our heat index values will find their way into the 100s.

Rain chances return this afternoon. These will be fast-moving showers and storms under the influence of Tropical Storm Fred.

With Fred gone, expect a more seasonal rain pattern for the remainder of the week.

Fred poses no threat of substantially impacting Southwest Florida. The storm is well north of us now, likely making landfall in the Florida Panhandle today.
