On Sunday morning, the Sanibel-Captive Conservation Foundation’s Coastal Wildlife team found a royal tern and laughing gull tied together with fishing line at South Seas Island Resort, according to a recent Mind Your Line Facebook post.

They were able to successfully untangle the gull and release it but the tern had more severe injuries including a hook in its head, they said.

The tern was brought to CROW (Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife) where it is being treated for its injuries.
