Estero man killed in crash off US-41

An Estero man was killed in a crash off US-41 Tuesday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 46-year-old was driving a pickup truck north on US-41, just north of Corkscrew Road, around 9:45 p.m. He attempted to change lanes and lost control, traveling off the roadway right, rotating and colliding with a light pole and a tree.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the FHP report, he was not wearing a seatbelt.
