Mack Mitchell has been hired to replace Earnest Graham, who announced his decision to step down as the head coach at Evangelical Christian School this week.

Graham and his family have decided to move to Atlanta, Georgia, according to a press release from ECS.

“We are so thankful for all that the Graham family has done for ECS,” wrote Scott Guttery, ECS athletic director. “Earnest has been an incredible mentor to our young men in this school and football program. Alicia has also dedicated so much of her time to helping behind the scenes. And, we all know how valuable Yaya and Myles were to the student body and the ECS community.”

Mitchell was previously the head coach at Oasis High School and North Fort Myers High School, and Guttery writes Mitchell has already proven to be a “great mentor of young men in his time at ECS.”

“As sad as we are to see the Grahams move away, we are equally joyful to have Coach Mitchell taking over the helm as our Director of Football Operations and Head Football Coach,” Guttery wrote. “The ECS football program will continue to grow and improve under his leadership.”
