The family and friends of Lauren Dumolo are still holding out hope that her body will be found. On Sunday, volunteers continued searching areas near Four Freedoms Park in Cape Coral for any new clues in her disappearance.

Dumolo was last seen over a year and a half ago. Four Freedoms Park is where Lauren Dumolo’s purse and some other belongings were found in 2020.

Volunteers haven’t just been searching the park. They are searching all of Cape Coral and Lee County to find new clues in her case.

Dumolo was a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend and none of those people are giving up on their mission to find her.

Along with community members constantly coming together to search, Lauren’s sister Lindsey Smith reached out to Missing in America for help.

“We will continue to work this case, talk to people, search areas that we believe are our high probability locations where she could be, and take it as far as we can take it how long that takes. I don’t know. It could take a month. It could take a year,” said retired homicide investigator Joe Fanciulli.

Dumolo’s sister said, “I miss her face. And I miss her so much. And I just want to find some closure.”
