Restaurants preparing for one-two punch of Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day back-to-back

Restaurants on Fifth Avenue in Naples are preparing for a busy weekend. It’s sure to be a packed house at a lot of places with the big game and Valentine’s Day falling on back-to-back days.

Staffing issues are still a big problem for restaurants in our area. It will be a one-two punch for restaurants and bars this weekend.

It will be busy, which is a great problem to have, but with worker shortages, the people taking care of you ask you to please pack your patience.

Tavern on the Bay Owner Michael Bono says, “Oh, we’re ready. Let’s go!”

Bono said, “I think we’re going to get our casual Valentine’s Day diners.”

If you plan to belly up to the bar on game-day, his advice; get there early. A packed house could present challenges without a full staff.

“They have to be patient, especially with staff shortages. We’re doing our best, and like I said, 95% of people are understanding,” said Bono.

Foxboro’s Sports Tavern says they won’t have to call an audible if you want wings.

Ramona Ritter said, “That is actually one thing we have to bulk up on because there is a shortage of wings.”

Ritter said, “we are prepared. We have them. We have all of the wings you need.”

If you don’t want to miss a play, Foxboro’s has a 360 view

“We even have the men’s and ladies’ room, so you never miss a play we are ready for you,” said Ritter.

That is only if you have a ticket. Some bars are putting a limit on game-day fans to take care of who’s in the house come Sunday.

There are just a few tickets left for game day at Foxboro’s.
