A 29-year-old Flushing, New York man was arrested on Tuesday after authorities say he and an accomplice stole several thousand dollars worth of merchandise from Saks Fifth Avenue.

According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Rambo Harna, a convicted felon, and an accomplice attempted to pay for merchandise at the store but then ran away without paying, jumped into an Escalade and drove away.

Deputies located the Escalade in a parking lot in the area of U.S. 41 North and Neopolitan Way.

They spotted Harna running along the south side of Neopolitan Way and confronted him.

A search for the accomplice continues.

Harna is also charged with giving false information to law enforcement. A check of his fingerprints confirmed his identity and prior criminal history in New York, the sheriff’s office said.
