Cape Coral man facing charges in son’s starvation death now accused of sexually assaulting a child

The husband of the woman found guilty of starving her son to death is facing new charges of sexually assaulting a child.

Ryan O’Leary is facing charges of sexual assault on a child less than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior with a child less than 12 years old.

O’Leary’s newest charges carry a $200,000 bond. He will be in court for them again on August 8.

Ryan O’Leary was already facing negligent homicide and child abuse charges relating to the death of his 18-month-old son Ezra, who died from starvation. He is set to be in court for those charges in September.

Ryan O’Leary’s wife Sheila was found guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and more for the death of their son. She is currently awaiting sentencing.
