Collier County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested an East Naples man after they say he left panties in front of two women’s homes on several occasions.

Deputies arrested 42-year-old Alejandro Hernandez-Perez on Friday after investigating complaints made by two women.

According to deputies, a woman alerted them at the beginning of July to a man she believed was stalking her.

Deputies say the woman provided them with surveillance video showing a man, later identified as Hernandez-Perez, dropping panties in her driveway on several occasions beginning as far back as June 15.

On July 20, deputies say the victim called them and said a man matching the one she saw on her surveillance cameras rode his bike past her house and smiled at her. Deputies caught up with Hernandez-Perez and got a photo to verify that he was the same person in the video.

Two days later, deputies say they spoke with Hernandez-Perez, who denied placing the panties outside the woman’s home but said he bought them for his wife in Mexico. Hernandez-Perez also said he knew the women the deputies were referring to and said he no longer rode his bike past their houses.

On Friday, deputies met Hernandez-Perez at his home and arrested him. He is facing two charges of stalking and is being held in the Collier County Jail on a $40,000 bond.
