Earl has strengthened to a Category 1 storm Tuesday night, becoming the second hurricane of the 2022 hurricane season. According to the latest National Hurricane Center advisory, Hurricane Earl has winds of 80 mph and is about 500 miles south of Bermuda. The storm is moving north at a speed of 6 mph. Bermuda has been placed under a Tropical Storm Watch as the center of the storm is expected to pass to the southeast of the island by Friday morning.
