Man arrested after hit-and-run crash with bicyclist in Naples

A man was arrested after police say he crashed into a bicyclist and left the scene at a Naples intersection on Friday.

According to the Naples Police Department, David Preston crashed into a bicyclist at US-41 and 10th Street South. Preston didn’t stop or give any aid to the victim before driving away from the scene.

EMS treated the woman on the bicycle before she was transported to a Fort Myers trauma center for medical evaluation.

Officers found Preston just a few minutes after the accident occurred.
