Credit: Google Maps On Thursday night, a man was killed in a head-on crash between two pickup trucks on SR-78 in Hendry County. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a pickup truck driven by an unidentified man was traveling east on SR-78 around 8:50 p.m., east of SR-29 and just north of LaBelle. A pickup truck driven by a 29-year-old man from Sebastian was traveling west on SR-78, east of SR-29. The first pickup truck veered into the westbound lane of travel and collided head-on with the other. The unidentified driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
