FWC said they found Pedro Pablo Ramirez’s body in the Caloosahatchee River on Tuesday.

“Our deepest condolences are with the friends and family of Mr. Ramirez,” said Major Rob Rowe, Southwest Regional Commander. “I know the community will keep them all in their thoughts during this difficult time.”

Family and crews went searching for their loved one after he disappeared in the Caloosahatchee River. On Tuesday, a fisherman found a big clue, Pedro Ramirez’s wallet was discovered by Whiskey Creek.

Ramirez and his stepdad capsized while on the river.

Preparing to search for their younger brother, Pedro and Olivia Arrillaga held each other tightly.

“They’re going to take us out on the water and help try to locate my brother. So we have hope still,” Arrillaga said.

40-year-old Pedro Pablo Ramirez vanished Sunday afternoon after his boat capsized in the Callosahatchee River near the Edison Bridge.

We’re hopeful,” Arrillaga said. “A lot of people are praying for him they know how strong he is.”

Late Tuesday afternoon, Arrillaga spoke with WINK News about the search. Her prayer was those searching just find him regardless of his condition.

Hope began to surge when a fisherman found her brother’s wallet near Whiskey Creek.

“This is giving me more hope than how I felt this morning. I was feeling really defeated. Because there’s not enough of us to walk and see,” Arrillaga said.

The Marco Patriots joined the search on Tuesday. They offered to bring Olivia and her brother along.

“We’re going to take them to some of their points of interest and try to address their concerns and help them in any way we can,” Marco Patriot member Matt Melican said.

FWC has also been working with FMPD searching the river by water and air.

“He is out there somewhere. I hope we’ll be able to reunite and do the best we can. We’ll come out of this happy and be able to hug each other once again,” Pedro, Ramirez’s brother said.
