A woman has been arrested after deputies said she stabbed a woman who is seven months pregnant in Lehigh Acres.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Latanika Addison stabbed the victim near Alabama Road and Gifford Avenue South, on Tuesday.

The victim received a knock on the window, and the next thing she knew, she was under attack.

When the victim opened the door she was punched and kicked then stabbed all over.

Her unborn baby is OK.

Deputies said, after the attack, Addison drove right towards a deputy who tried to stop her.

Then, later, a car was involved in a three-car crash on Alabama Road South, not far from the scene.

A man who had given Addison a ride from that scene said she confessed to the crime.

Addison remains behind bars.
