After an active search for a missing woman, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office confirms she has been found dead. Deputies had been searching for 77-year-old Josefina Munoz in Lehigh Acres after her family reported her missing Saturday night. On Monday, it was revealed, she was found deceased. They said her body was found about a block away from her home. LCSO used a drone in the search, but they haven’t said whether that was how they found her remains. The sheriff’s office said a cause of death is not yet known, but no foul play is suspected.
