Published: Updated:

A flood watch will be in effect from Friday morning through Saturday evening due to a heavy amount of rain in the area.

This will affect portions of Southeast and Southwest Florida, including coastal Collier County and inland Collier County.

According to the National Weather Service, excessive rainfall is possible.

Three to five inches of widespread rainfall with locally higher amounts are possible.

The flood watch could be in effect until Saturday evening, says the WINK Weather Authority.
