Expect roadblocks for Music Walk in downtown Fort Myers tonight

Music walk is happening tonight, and despite headaches with the Caloosahatchee Bridge closure, the event will carry on.

Some businesses in downtown Fort Myers have noticed a decline in foot traffic, and they blame it on the closure.

Earlier this month, the city canceled the June Art Walk, but tonight’s Music Walk will play on.

We spoke to Lisa Sbuttoni, one of the organizers of Music Walk.

She said she is thrilled the community was able to put on Music Walk, even despite the downtown bridge traffic.

“This is one of the most popular events. People from all over love to come and enjoy this event, so I’m hoping they’ll come here, and, not just to see the outdoor venues, there are also indoor venues if people are too hot to stay outside,” she said.

Music Walk will be going on for several hours, so expect some roadblocks if you’re coming downtown.
