Hot, hot, hot!

It will be another hot day across Southwest Florida, and the entire area is under a Heat Advisory.

While the air temperature will be in the low 90s, when factoring in the humidity, Sunday afternoon’s ‘feels-like’ temperatures are expected to reach up to 111 degrees.

Aside from the heat, The Weather Authority will be tracking hit-or-miss scattered showers and storms in the afternoon.

Sun and clouds can be expected throughout the day.

“Drier air will work its way into the area for the start of the work week, leading to slightly lower rain chances for Monday and Tuesday,” said Meteorologist Lauren Kreidler.

For the boaters, winds are out of the south around 5 to 10 knots. The water temperature in the Gulf has been holding steady at a warm 89 degrees.

Looking at the tropics, Beryl is still forecast to become a hurricane before making landfall along the Texas coast. Aside from Beryl, we are not tracking any other areas in the tropics.
