Group accused of working together to steal from multiple stores at Gulf Coast Town Center

Four people have been arrested after allegedly working together to steal from multiple stores in Lee County over the weekend.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Burlington Coat Factory at Gulf Coast Town Center on Saturday.

Deputies witnessed the suspects removing the anti-theft devices and fleeing in a grey minivan.

When deputies conducted a traffic stop, they found 51 stolen items and an anti-shoplifting countermeasure device.

Annelis Gonzalez, Jose Madan, David Reyes and Annia Gonzalez were arresed.

Annelis, Madan, and Reyes have been charged with retail theft of $750 or more or coordinating with others, using an anti-shoplifting device, and grand theft of $750 or less than $5,000.

Annia Gonzalez has been charged $750 or more for retail theft or coordinating with others.
