The Lee County Parks & Recreation Department is assessing sites for damage and impacts from Tropical Storm Debby.

Debby landed as a Category 1 storm early Monday over the Big Bend of Florida; however, the latest National Hurricane Center advisory downgraded Debby to a tropical storm.

Bunche Beach Preserve, Lynn Hall Memorial Park and access No. 4 of Bonita Beach Park are currently closed, Monday afternoon.

Some parking areas along Bonita Beach have also been impacted.

The closures are temporary; park patrons can monitor updates through the Lee County social media accounts or through or visit the website for more information.
