The Florida Highway Patrol has arrested a man accused of street racing and doing donuts near fuel pumps and pedestrians.

FHP arrested Adrian Sean Dixon, 19, on Thursday following reports of reckless driving and street racing near a Daybreak gas station parking lot near the intersection of Pine Island Road and Chiquita Boulevard in Cape Coral.

The initial report was filed on Sunday at 11:01 p.m., stating that Dixon, driving a blue 2015 BMW M2, purposefully accelerated and turned in a circular motion, making donuts near fuel pumps, pedestrians and other cars in the parking lot.

According to FHP, Dixon’s actions were captured by security cameras and several onlookers with cell phones, which were later posted on various social media accounts.

On Thursday, troopers identified Dixon near his home in Lehigh Acres, where he was arrested without resistance and booked into the Lee County Jail.

He has been charged with reckless driving, racing and petit theft.

The petit theft charge was clarified to be a stolen bottle of tea.
