WINK News has now confirmed the state’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation is now investigating Beattie Development. WINK News showed you the Beattie Development office in Downtown Cape Coral being raided by police in August. WINK News has shared stories of homeowners and subcontractors who are out hundreds of thousands of dollars. WINK News also brought you detailed complaints to the attorney general. After our story last night, a couple people complaining about Beattie Development sent us letters they got from the DBPR. One letter shows the complaint has been forwarded “for further investigation.” A second letter from a different person says their complaint about Beattie has been added to an existing case number. So far, we know of at least two state agencies are investigating; the DBPR and the Attorney General.
